The Five Houses Welcome to the Sacred Expanse. Here you will find your character courted by the Five Noble Houses. They will offer shelter, safety, and magical power. All your character has to do is swear loyalty and participate in the occasional magical sex ritual. The magical energy known as Aether flows through the Sacred Expanse and can sometimes be seen as an opalescent shine in the water or a glimmer in the air. Aether flows through everything including your character giving them wondrous magical powers and an instinctive need to indulge in sex. Sex is the only known way to create Aether. The urge can be resisted but the longer it is ignored the more intense the feelings will become. It has, in the past, driven some to madness. Each House offers to teach your character their particular way of controlling that urge. It’s simply up to your character to choose which House to swear loyalty to.
